Tasko began as an idea shared among three friends who recognized a common challenge in Cameroon: hiring a handyman was often stressful, unreliable, and time-consuming. Skilled workers struggled to find consistent jobs, depending mostly on word-of-mouth. At the same time, small vendors with quality goods were limited by visibility and lacked a wider customer base. We realized there was a gap; and an opportunity. Why not create one platform where people can easily find handymen, buy essential goods, and where workers and vendors can showcase their skills and products to a larger audience? From that vision, Tasko was born.
